4: Adding DVD Set to the System – Debian 10 Offline Install

Part 4: This video shows how the complete DVD image set is added to the system.

This series of videos is all about installing Debian 10 offline. The reason I am using Debian 10 is that I have some hardware (proprietary) that only works on a few specific kernel versions. What should be a simple task suddenly turns out to be a bit more complex.

Apart from the downloading the Debian 10 DVD images, I show the whole installation being performed offline – I don’t even have have any network connectivity during this time. I also show how to lock-in the kernel version to prevent it being updated in the future, and also how to update Debian 10 using the DVD update images.
