More and more companies are bringing their databases to the cloud, now you want to take this step too!?

But what is the right way and which is the right target platform, how do we get our data there? How much power do we need for our application?

This is exactly where I would like to start with this episode – the preparation – finding the right SKU for your target environment and how you get data with the help of the Azure Migration Assistant and the Azure Data Studio.

About Bjoern Peters:
I’ve started with SQL Server 6.5 as a sys-admin and not a DBA. Later on, I’d worked as a full DBA with SQL Server 2000 and my love for SQL Server started. In 2015 I’d got more interested in community and growing my knowledge with SQL PASS and tried to speak for the first time… the main part of my job is to work as a database admin and solution architect but I’m trying to widen my horizons. In 2016 I’ve visited and volunteered at the German SQL Saturdays und SQLGrillen and started the Azure Meetup Hamburg in October 2016. I took a little break from the community as we moved from Germany to Mexico at the end of 2021, but now starting again with full energy to share my passion for the Microsoft Data Platform and Azure from this side of the world.
