A More Equitable Future – A PERL Documentary on Equitable Budgeting

This documentary titled: A More Equitable Future tells the story of how FCDO’s Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL) programme supports its partners to make budgets more equitable. The intervention is anchored through the PERL Women in Governance (WinG) initiative, which promotes and strengthens women change agents to have a far greater impact in their work. Specifically, this documentary, released on the 2021 International Women’s Day, tells the story of PERL’s support to equitable budgeting from the lens of PERL, Abia State and Borno State Ministry of Water Resources. It explains the process of developing equitable budgets and plans, as well as lessons and challenges of preparing equitable budgets.
