TCP stands for Transmission Control Protocol and UDP stands for User Datagram Protocol.

TCP and UDP Protocol are both works under the Transport layer of the OSI Model.

TCP is a connection-oriented protocol that confirms the delivery of packets, on the other hand, UDP is a connection-less protocol that does not confirm the delivery of packets.

TCP basically use while sending mail, online browsing, watch online videos on the other hand UDP are basically use for playing online games and video calling.

TCP does error checking and error recovery on the other hand UDP does error checking but there is no option for error correction. If it finds any error it simply going to drop the packets.
