Why should you consider installing SQL Server 2014? If you have a 32-bit computer! SQL Server 2016 and later requires a 64-bit computer.
However, you don’t need a server to install SQL Server – a home computer will do. In the SQL Server 2014 Express, you can install the back-end SQL Server, which does all of the compute needed, and it also installs SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), which is the user-friendly program. Because you will have both, you can create databases, insert data, and then retrieve it using SELECT statements. And the Express version is FREE, both for home and commercial use.
