How to play genuine Game Boy games on Steam Deck?

This setup may be a bit overkill for playing your retro games but I always find joy into playing them through the original cartridges. I have a couple of games in my collection already and I want to take advantage of using the Steam Deck.
So what do you think about this approach? Is this something you’d consider doing? Do you think it’s too much? Let me know in the comments.
