Creating VLANs between Switches | Multiswitch VLAN Using Trunking | IEEE 802.1Q Tagging

We discuss how to create Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) using multiple switches.
We discuss about tagging and trunking.
Switches forwards frames belonging to one VLAN to some other VLAN using Trunking.
With VLAN Trunking, Switch follows a process of VLAN Tagging and by Tagging, the sending switch adds extra header to Ethernet frame that is (VLAN ID).
IEEE 802.1Q Trunking protocol supports VLAN on Ethernet networks
802.1Q defines an special VLAN called native VLAN and Frames travelling in native VLAN don’t have VLAN IDs.

(config)# interfaces FastEthernet 0/1
(config-if)# switchport mode trunck
