For a while now, the Ram TRX has been one of the undisputed favorites and top performers in its range, with next to almost no other competitor coming close. The truck is powered by the immense 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 702 horsepower that sets it apart from some of its major counterparts. However, with options such as the electric Rivian R1T coming to take the shine away from the TRX, it becomes increasingly important for Ram to create a more potent variant, especially with Ford now introducing a new competitor with the 700 horsepower F-150 Raptor R. Even though the TRX would still naturally be the better option against the Raptor R, even when it comes to power and engine performance, many have seen this entry by Ford as a potential threat to the TRX, and it has really not taken long for Ram to respond to this, with the TRX now receiving a major boost that will leave the Raptor R chasing shadows.
