IBM Db2 Data Management Console 3.1

IBM Db2 Data Management Console 3.1

The Db2 Data Management Console is the next step in the journey we started this year with Db2 Big SQL. We delivered a better more powerful user experience with a simpler, easier to use approach to monitoring, a faster redesigned SQL Editor, and an easier way to navigate and manage database objects.

Your whole team can work together to manage, monitor, and receive alerts across hundreds of Db2 databases from a single screen.

We followed up with new Db2 Data Management Consoles across multiple public and private cloud offerings.
Db2 Warehouse has a new console for both IBM Cloud and AWS and IBM Cloud Pak for Data has Db2 Data Management consoles for both Warehouse and OLTP.

With each new release, we added capabilities and improved our interface for the whole family. They are a single experience, built on a common codebase, across multiple cloud environments, for the whole Db2 family of offerings.

To highlight these big changes we have an new name for Data Server Manager. The IBM Db2 Data Management Console Version 3.1. You can think of this as Data Server Manager Version 3.

But our changes are not just in the human interface. Our new consoles are built on a full set of open RESTful APIs. Anything you can do in the interface you can do through an open API.
This isn’t just a UI. It is a set of micro services for Db2.

Team Collaboration is also built in. With a click, you can send a link to your team so they can see exactly what you are working on. You can even pick and choose parts of the console to integrate into your own custom webpages.
