Cloud Software : Cloud Software is licensed, available As A Service, Instance of software resides in Cloud Vendor Servers

Installation of software
On-Premise Software : On-Premise Software is installed in device or Organization Server within the premises.
Software, Application and Data is stored in local device or within the organization.
Ex: Software : MS-Office , Application : MS-Word, MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Data : information entered in Excel sheet
Cloud Software : Cloud Software is not installed in local device or Organization Server
Software, Application and Data are stored in Cloud Server.

Cloud Software : Cloud Software are available As A Service on Rental basis with Monthly or Annual Subscription.
Ex :Adobe Photoshop , After Switching to Cloud , Adobe Photoshop Software is Costing 1600 Rupees per Month As A Service.

On-Premise Software : Every software get upgraded with new Features. For Every new Release of Software to Use latest features, need to buy new License and upgrade software manually in device.
MS-Office :
.NET Framework is On-Premise Software. For Any Client Application is built using .NET4.7 version, if they want to Upgrade Application to .NET 4.8 version then a separate migration project need to be executed.
Cloud Software: When cloud vendors release new software version in their Servers automatically all new features are applicable to all clients automatically without paying any money
