Van Tech Corner ： OpenWRT – Configure Router as a Switch

In this video, we are going to setup the OpenWRT router as a switch in Luci.
The solution is very simple:
1. Assign an IP address to the secondary router which will be configured as a switch. This IP should be in the same subnet with the main router.
2.Turn off the DHCP on the secondary router. After this is completed, the router will become the Switch
3. Connect 2 routers via LAN port.

Timeframe:

00:00 – Network topology explaination
03:00 – Change the LAN IP address on OpenWRT
04:50 – Turn off the DHCP on OpenWRT
05:25 – Physical connection and final checks
