How do you feel about those ads flooding YouTube? Isn’t it annoying to spend endless seconds after the start of a video waiting for the “Skip” button or repeatedly hit the X icon on the ad bar at the bottom of the window?

Well, you could buy a YouTube Premium subscription. Or you can install AdGuard and block ads everywhere, including this most popular video-sharing service.

On a Mac or Windows PC, it’s enough to turn on AdGuard to stop seeing YouTube ads.

On smartphones, it’s a little more tricky. You can’t block ads directly in the YouTube app. But with AdGuard installed, it is possible to watch videos without distractions:

In Android, open the YouTube app and find the video you want. Tap the Share button and select AdGuard from the list. A new ad-free player window will open. Enjoy!

In iOS, use a similar way: open the YouTube app and pick the desired video. Tap the Share button and select Block ads on YouTube (by AdGuard) from the list. A new window will open for your video. No ads either!

In iOS, you can also remove ads from videos in Safari. To do this, open your iPhone Settings, find Safari, and tap Extensions. In Allow These Extensions, enable AdGuard. Make sure that it has access to all websites. Now open AdGuard and, on the Protection screen, activate Advanced Protection. Done – no more YouTube ads in Safari.
