One of the biggest sources of regret after installing a smart lock is sound, if you’ve unknowingly chosen a loud one. I captured the sound of 15 different smart locks from Kwikset, Schlage, Yale, Level, Lockly, and Alfred from Home Depot, Lowe’s and Best Buy. ○ The Alfred DB1 and DB2 are on other doors.
○ Prior to Alfred, the Schlage Keypad did a fantastic job for over 10 years and still worked when I took it off. That lock rocks given the heat and UV it held up against.
