The Long Dark: Interloper – Cold Machine [S01, ep01]

Following recent updates, the game has reached a somewhat stable state enough to finally take a look at the DLC. Here we start in Ash Canyon. In this first episode of the series, we try our best to not only survive, but get a decent foothold in the area. Taking a suggestion from past comment sections of videos, I decided to give AI voice another attempt at vocalizing my internal monologue as we progress through the region with Astrid Greenwood. While it’s far from perfect being rather robotic in nature, it certainly does match the title of the series which is a fusion of the two feats being used here (cold fusion and efficient machine). Even as bad as it is, the voice cloning technology has come a long way in the last 2 years from being hard to understand to mostly just being robotic sounding. Still debating on whether to continue using AI voice for the rest of the series.
