This week, we start with our Hammer Retrospective with THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.
In the Summer of 1957, THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN was the first Hammer Horror film in Colour, changed the game and became a worldwide sensation. Released in Colour, it became the first film to show blood, guts and gore. Audiences in the UK ate it up and once it came to the US, Hammer became the IT Horror brand using characters made famous by Universal Studios. The films also made stars out of actors like Peter Cushing ans Christopher Lee. It changed how we consumed violence and gore in our horror films that stands to this day.
