Living Writers Series featuring Sondra Perl

Sondra Perl, Professor Emerita at Lehman College & the CUNY Graduate Center, discusses the need for writers to embrace what novelist Sue Miller calls “facing one’s own dragons” when writing becomes difficult. Based on her 2005 book On Austrian Soil: Teaching Those I was Taught to Hate, Perl recounts her own difficult journey into the past, including a digital update which brings her story into the present.
