The company has entered into an agreement to become the official partner and designated supplier of graphics cards for the 19th Asian Games. This quadrennial event, akin to the Olympics, gathers athletes from across Asia to compete in a variety of sports. While the majority of disciplines adhere to traditional physical sports, it’s worth noting that the upcoming edition will introduce e-sports for the first time, underscoring the growing significance of this genre in Asia. Despite its name, the 2022 Asian Games are scheduled to take place this year in September, hosted by China. In preparation, Intel and Gunnir have formalized a contract to exclusively provide GPUs for the e-sports segment of the games. To commemorate this moment, Gunnir has designed a special version of their existing Arc A750 Photon series. These new graphics cards won’t see substantial alterations to their cooling mechanisms or other crucial components, but they will showcase a new color palette and distinctive graphics decorated on the backplates. Notably, one of the models is tailored to the theme of the Valorant game, a featured title in the competition, while another design pays homage to the visual identity of the 2022 Asian Games. The systems prepared for players for the Asian Games competition rely on the Intel Core i9-13900K processor, the B760 motherboard, and a 32GB of DDR5 memory. Asian Games 2022 officially kick off on September 23 and will last until October 8. Just four days earlier Intel will host their event called Innovation, where possible updates on desktop CPUs and GPUs are expected.
