SMSQL 7.0 – Automating test & dev environments

In this short video I demonstrate the cloning capability of the NetApp system by creating a real-time clone of a production database and presenting it to my development environment.

Snapmanager for SQL is used to manage the clone in this instance, however the cloning can also be performed by CLI commands or PowerShell scripting.

Clone lifecycle management can be used to create, resync or delete clones on a scheduled basis.
