The outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost reverses the events at the Tower of Babel. And yet, one honest look at our world reveals that the Tower casts a long shadow and our differences still divide us as our varied experiences leave us with different vantage points and blindspots that push us further and further from unity. If the Church is the multi-ethnic family that God promised to Abram, dividing isn’t an option. So if division is out of bounds and diversity is challenging, where do we find a way forward? In week 2 of Deconstructing Babel, we step back into the life of the Early Church in the book of Acts to see how they dealt with the growing tension amidst the growing diversity of Jesus’ followers!
