after activating AMD FSR 2.2 in Forza Horizon 5,
version 3.533.661.0,

on an Intel Arc A770 GPU @ driver version 31.0.101.3802

all other additional video settings in combination didn’t change anything; they were set to ultra in this clip.

I wanted to create an additional, new clip of the issue today, but realised there have been both a forced/mandatory game update for Forza Horizon 5 to version 3.538.198.0,

as well as a optional Intel Beta Driver update to version 31.0.101.3959 Beta which were basically released the same day, Dec 6th

and which I have both already installed now.

so this is the old video before both updates for the game itself & intel drivers.

surprisingly most issues with FSR 2.2 seem to be gone now, after the updates,

hard to tell now what caused the problem and what fixed it, because it’s neither specifically mentioned in the FH5 patchnotes,

nor in Intels Beta Driver Readme if I read that through thoroughly enough 😉

there’s still some minor odd things still left on with shadows for fences & windows on buildings in town eg. or NPC’s etc..

but overall, the image looks a LOT better now with FSR 2.2 enabled vs off.
maybe in general, no way to tell since we can’t rollback the game live version obviously.

I tested quality preset & balanced preset for FSR2.2..

lot better quality now, but no noticeable fps gains,
and possibly suboptimal frame-pacing..
