Review – MSI GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING X TRIO 12G

The dust is now settling on NVIDIA’s “mid-range” GeForce RTX 4070 GPU launch; for the uninformed, the RTX 4070 was launched for sale to the general public on 13 April 2023, where it sports a cut-down version of the 4070 Ti’s AD104 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores instead of 7680 CUDA cores.

For today’s video, ALKtech checks out another non-MSRP RTX 4070 graphics card that’s positioned at the higher-end of the 4070 spectrum: the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING X TRIO 12G. Sporting a sleek looking aesthetic with RGB LEDs, a TRI FROZR 3 thermal solution as well as a metal backplate, watch on to see how this card performs with a mix of synthetic and gaming benchmark tests at the 1440p resolution, when paired with Intel’s range-topping processor offering, the Core i9-13900K.
