Jak 2 60FPS (PCSX2) Gameplay and Settings – Steam Deck

Game runs ok. 60FPS most of the time, but there are occasional dips to mid 40’s-50’s. I’ve started messing around with turning off SMT in PowerTools and that helped a bunch. Turning off SMT boosted the FPS by about 10-20FPS in some sections. The PowerTools plugin is definitely needed to make the game playable on the Steam Deck.

When OpenGOAL releases for Jak 2, that will probably be the better way to play it with increased performance, but for now this seems like a solid way to go back and play it on the Steam Deck.

*I had the resolution on 3x here, but you can lower to 2x for a little better performance.

*I switched the L2/R2 buttons with the X/Square buttons so I could use the pressure sensitivity gas/brake with the vehicles.
