Fang Cao worries about her mother’s hospitalisation and decides to return to Vietnam to take care of her. Shi Jie buys a plane ticket for her leaving in two days. His condition relapses so he is hospitalised, worrying her. She confesses to him in front of his sickbed. Not wanting to burden her, he rejects her and asks her to sign the divorce papers to cut all ties with her. Fang Cao leaves sadly.
