RTX 3080 vs RX 6800 XT! | Same FAST Performance, Is Nvidia or AMD Better??

RTX 3080 vs RX 6800 XT. Both of these graphics cards have similar or the same performance. The 6800 XT usually pulls out a little bit ahead. This opens a whole can of worms, because does the 16 gb of VRAM on the 6800 XT out-weigh the feature advantage of the RTX 3080 10gb. On top of that, you can get the 3080 now for only $400 on the used market, curiously the 6800 XT costs $50 more currently. This is kind of the reverse of what you would think would be happening, so does this have merit to it? In other words, if performance is generally the same, is Nvidia or AMD better?
