In the session 1 of our Oracle Goldengate Microservices training, We discussed about below:

1. Below are the types of Architecture available in Goldengate:

a. Oracle Goldengate Classic Architecture- Command Prompt based (GGSCI)- Oracle as well as non Oracle DB
b.Oracle Goldengate Microservices – Integrated with Cloud and GUI based architecture- Oracle Databases

2. Then we discussed briefly about Classic Architecture about Oracle Goldengate and how process data flow.

3. We then got introduce to oracle Goldengate Microservices Architecture.

4. MSA architecture is available from 2017 and is a REST API based architecture of Goldengate

5. Components of Microservices Architecture include:

a.Service Manager
b.Administrator Server
c.Distribution Server
d.Receiver Server
e.Performance Metrics Server
6. Data Pump process of Classic Arch has been replaced with Distribution Server in MSA.

7. Collector process of Classic Arch has been replaced with Receiver Server in MSA.
