Quicker ESXi Host Upgrades with Suspend to Memory

This is an introduction to the new Suspend-to-Memory capability with vSphere 7 Update 2. It’s a great new way of suspending workloads into memory when patching, or remediating, ESXi hosts. Because there’s no (live)migrations done, the ESXi host can quickly start updating.

After vSphere QuickBoot restarts the ESXi kernel after the updates are installed, workloads are resumed from memory. This helps in reducing the overall time it takes to update your ESXi hosts!
