Nvidia GPU Prices Finally Drop But Gamers Still Said NO

Nvidia missed the mark with their RTX 4080 pretty badly but we all knew it was an up-sell product to make buyers just get the 4090. That did work to an extent but there’s no denying that the vast majority of its target audience was priced out. Even if you account for inflation bumping up the MSRP a couple years later by around 72% is highly egregious. On top of that it’s a mid-tier die not really a true X80 GPU. Obviously with demand being so low you’re going to eventually see retailers dropping prices. Just recently the 4080 hit an all-time low, dropping technically below $1000. Despite that, gamers still said no which brought a smile to my face. Gotta vote with your wallets people and hopefully this downtrend continues and we can get prices that actually make sense for most consumers.
