Erwan Faiveley of Domaine Joseph Faiveley Joins Acker's Grande Fête de Bourgogne

For nearly two hundred years, Faiveley has been an iconic name in Burgundy, sourcing and producing wines from the greatest vineyards throughout the Côte d’Or. Founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley, the Domaine, bearing Pierre’s son Joseph’s name, is now run by the family’s seventh generation, Erwan, who took the reins from his father in 2005, and his sister Eve. Through the generations, the family not only founded the Chevaliers du Tastevin, but they’ve also acquired many of their own vineyards while also working as a Négociant; today, the estate commands over 130 hectares, with 12 Grand Crus and 25 Premier Crus, six of which are monopoles! This younger generation has brought a new sense of dynamism to the business, investing in renovations for the Mercurey winery and the vinification facilities in Nuits St. Georges. Domaine Faiveley has always been committed to producing fine wines that purely reflect their terroir, and we are honored to be joined by Erwan as we taste through several of the Domaine’s flagship wines and discover what it means to lead a Burgundian family legacy.
