Can You Build SIM CITY with JAVASCRIPT? // Part 11: Abandoned Buildings

Welcome to this series where I attempt to answer the question: is it possible to create a SimCity-style game with JavaScript? We’ll be using Three.js (www.threejs.org) to render the city in 3D, but everything else is plain ol’ HTML, CSS and JavaScript. In this day of modern web frameworks, sometimes it can be fun to go back to the basics and see what you can do!

In this latest update, zoned buildings will only develop if they are next to a road. If they lose road access, the buildings become abandoned. Citizens will move out and lose their jobs! It’s mass chaos!
