Solved: PHP Shows Code/Text Instead of Running Webpage

Sometimes after upgrading PHP, installing PHP for the first time, or updating the operating system, PHP will show as text instead of showing the web page. This video shows how to solve that problem. This is a common issue affecting new installations of PHP or major version upgrades. Usually, the problem can be solved fairly easily using the command line to configure PHP to run or execute the PHP code rather than show the PHP code as text on the web page.
