Wireless roaming settings ensure seamless connectivity as users move between different APs within the same network.
Security Configuration:
Enhance the security of your wireless network by enabling features such as MAC address filtering, which allows you to specify which devices can connect to the AP.
Consider enabling intrusion detection and prevention features to detect and mitigate potential threats on your wireless network.
If your AP supports it, enable Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for secure management access.
Save and Apply Settings:
Review all the configured settings and ensure they are accurate.
Save the configuration and apply the changes.
The AP may restart to apply the new settings.
Testing and Fine-Tuning:
Test the wireless connectivity by connecting devices to the network and verifying the signal strength and reliability.
Monitor the AP’s performance and adjust settings as needed to optimize coverage, bandwidth, and security.
Regularly update the firmware of the AP to ensure it has the latest security patches and performance improvements.
