Linux Time Saving Tip: Use Bash Aliases for Commands!

If you regularly use a specific terminal command and arguments in the Linux terminal, you can save time by setting up aliases for that command.

First edit “.bashrc” –
nano .bashrc

Format:
alias aliasname=’command -arg -arg’

Example:
alias dl=’wget -r -e robots=off -nc -np’
