Redeemer – Starting Point – Hack The Box // Walkthrough & Solution

Hello Everyone!!! I’ll explain how to solve the “Redeemer” machine, which is part of the “Starting Point” labs and has a “Very Easy” difficulty rating.

The object of this CTF is to pwn a Redis Server. Redis is a type of database that stores information in memory instead of on disks like MySQL, PostgreSQL or MSSQL. This makes it very fast, but it also means that the data will be lost if the server is restarted or if there is a power failure. Redis is used for things like cache servers, real-time analytics, leaderboards, and other applications that need to be fast and flexible.
