ZigBee devices can be configured as Coordinator, Routers and End devices to form Star,Cluster Tree and Mesh networks.

Only End devices can go into sleep mode,Coordinator and Router will always be active and cann’t sleep.They will store (buffer) the information of End devices when End devices sleep.

ZigBee is used in Home Automation, Industrial Automation and Medical monitoring using different kinds of sensors that suits the requirements.
