Understanding Your MS SQL Server Summary Log

The Microsoft SQL Server Summary.txt log is created when SQL Server installations, uninstallations, feature changes, and product updates are applied. Here’s how to locate and read it.

The default location is %programfiles%Microsoft SQL ServernnnSetup BootstrapLog where nnn are numbers that correspond to the version of SQL that’s being installed.
