Intel’s latest Core i9-13900K processor is priced at $589 and features 24 cores, 32 threads, and clock speeds of up to 5.8GHz. It has promised up to 15% better single-thread performance and up to 41% better multithread performance over its previous model. The reviewer tested the Core i9-13900K and found it delivers on these promises, with big multithread performance gains. However, it might not be the best option for gaming and beats AMD’s top Ryzen CPU in most gaming tests at 1080p but falls behind in gaming compared to AMD’s 5800X3D. The 13th Gen chips work on existing motherboards that support 12th Gen processors and are built on Intel’s 7 process and x86 performance hybrid architecture.
