I’ve been investigating alternative heating systems for our home – ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps – but it’s difficult to find good case studies on how these actually work. Am I going to be warm? How disruptive is installation? What are the pros and cons?

Some friends of ours in Germany @nzaubr just had a Hydrogen Fuel Cell system installed, replacing an ‘un-‘environmentally friendly’ and expensive to run oil fired heating system.
