Build local images for docker-compose ( Docker Go & Redis example)

How to build and rebuild a local image for docker compose. This is a demo using Redis and Go as my 2 services. The first part of the video is setup but skip ahead to 0:30 to see how the compose file is updated and the commands used for building and rebuilding with new updates. This builds the image locally for testing. Alternatively you can push the image to dockerhub and the compose file could grab it from there.

0:00 – Project Setup
0:30 – Build Custom Image
0:38 – Update docker-compose.yml
0:50 – Start the app
1:01 – Make a change
1:08 – Rebuild the image
1:27 – Start app with new changes
