Creative ITC Modernizes Clients’ Technologies As a VMware Partner

Creative ITC partners with VMware to deliver value to clients, helping them modernize their applications on VMware’s cost-effective and flexible platform.

As a cloud enablement company, Creative ITC values the flexibility VMware brings to work in any cloud that best meets the needs of its clients. Creative ITC makes it possible for enterprises around the world to consume nearly everything “as a service,” from infrastructure, desktops and storage to networks, disaster recovery, security and more.

One of Creative ITC’s clients, SNC-Lavalin, is a professional services and project management company with offices worldwide. When the COVID pandemic hit, SNC-Lavalin experienced major challenges when their employees—suddenly turned remote employees—had equipment needed for their work only in the office, explains Steve Capper, Group Chief Information Officer, SNC-Lavalin. Working with Creative ITC, they ramped up procurement to enable their employees to work outside the office and access files, reducing its carbon footprint and storage by 69%, electricity by 53% and floorspace by 45%. SNC-Lavalin was able to reduce its number of global data centers from 16 to three, “thanks to the support of people at VMware [and] Creative ITC,” Steve Capper says.

Based in London, England, Creative ITC are infrastructure specialists, not generalists, says Eamon Murchen, CEO, Creative ITC. Creative ITC chooses to partner with VMware because VMware technology will work wherever technology is needed and enables the company to develop solutions as quickly as possible. “To me, without a shadow of a doubt, VMware is most definitely the finest hypervisor on the planet,” Eamon Murchen says. “They’re a technology leader. VMware will basically work wherever you need your technology. VMware will support that, and that’s what people want today. They want the choice.”

Creative ITC is “optimistic” about VMware’s multi-cloud strategy because it enables one to work from any location, Eamon Murchen says. SNC-Lavalin has software-defined data centers, using NSX to segment traffic, Eamon Murchen says. Steve Capper is enthusiastic about SNC-Lavalin’s position these days, explaining that the company is no longer having to manage lots of data centers and equipment. “From the IT side, it’s a lot more efficient,” he says.
