Last Week, Improved Geo-Location for Azure Cache for Redis entered general availability. This release added several enhancements to the passive geo-replication functionality offered on the Premium tier. To track health and status of geo-replication new metrics are available, including amount of data waiting to be replicated. Another great enhancement added which is to initiate a failover between geo primary and geo replica with single click as well as global cache URL is available to update DNS records automatically.

Also last week, Azure Container Registry (ACR) added public preview service for caching for both Docker Hub and ACR. Caching for ACR is part of a larger solution to make your upstream content more performant and reliable. With this release, now it will benefit our customers for high speed and reliable pull operation, added Private Network integration as well as it allows caching for ACR users to pull images from the local repo instead upstream registry.
