Salaam! My name is Ahmed Shareef. I have completed a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of the West of England. I work as a lecturer at MNU (The Maldives National University). As a part-time job, I work for Novits – where I have clients and students too (alhamdulillah). I love contributing towards productivity and humanity works, especially Islamic NGOs and Schools.
My research interest area is educational technology – increasing accessibility with technology by creating a remote learning environment for both normal and disabled students, to be precise.
As we moved to teach online, we were supposed to give a lot of tutorials to our students from YouTube. That is to help them learn asynchronously within the convenience of their own time. Thus YouTube was a great help to the students.
However, sometimes it requires us to create videos. Thus I started recording videos for students, which end up supporting colleagues and teachers from other institutes too. This way the videos could be beneficial for the general public as well, inshaAllah.
Giving back to the community is something we all need to consider. That is the main reason I decided to create videos for my students and every fellow who asks for help and support. I hope this is a good way to give back to the community.
I will, inshaAllah, continue creating shorts and videos which will be helpful for the community. Especially administrators, teachers, lecturers, and students. Generally, anyone who wants to learn about technologies like Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Apple Products.
