IaSQL on AWS Enters Beta with Multi-Region and Transaction Support | #sql #aws #database

A #beta #version of the open-source #service #IaSQL was recently #announced. #Designed to #manage #cloud infrastructure using #SQL, #IaSQL #supports multi-region #AWS, new #AWS #services, and infrastructure changes as #transactions.

Originally #released as open-source #software last year, IaSQL #manages #cloud #infrastructure using a #PostgreSQL #database. #AWS treats #infrastructure as #data and maintains a two-way #connection #between the #AWS #account and the #local #database.

In the #beta #release of #IaSQL, #transactions were added, which #supported batch and #stage #changes: the #iasql_begin and #iasql_commit #methods allow #developers to perform changes to an #AWS #deployment synchronously, by #temporarily #disabling normal propagation between the #cloud and the #infrastructure #database.
