Steam Deck Failure: Aussie Edition

Now that it’s possible to buy a Steam Deck in Australia, and have a Steam Deck delivered to Australia, I ordered one. It arrived, but my Steam Deck arrived broken and faulty.
I had to contact technical support for the store I purchased from, because Valve was never going to support me in this situation – I didn’t buy it from them, Valve does not deliver the Steam Deck to Australia, and as far as they’re concerned the Steam Deck is unsupported in Australia.
So what do you do when you need to make a warranty claim for the Steam Deck in Australia?
I bought my Steam Deck from Kogan in Australia, and this was my experience interacting with Kogan customer support to get a new Steam Deck sent back to me via Kogan and Valve.
P.S. I also managed to get Steam Deck to run Minecraft Java, and Minecraft Dungeons on Steam Deck runs well, too. It’s fantastic news that the Steam Deck has a release in Australia (unofficially) and that you can now buy a Steam Deck in Australia. Unfortunately, they can still be broken or faulty.
