Replication of Mariadb database

Replication of Mariadb database

Configuration of Mariadb/Mysql databases to replicate one master database to a slave database on a different server. Configuration procedure shown in VMware Workstation with Centos 9 Streaming servers.

In order to secure your Mariadb or Mysql databases, you can copy the database from a master server to a slave. That can be done online immediately when the databases are republicated from a master databases to slave databases. That secure from hardware disk failure. Not from update failure, since all changes of the master databases are immediately copied to the slave server. Therefore, the need for other kind of regular backup routines is also required. The replication can be done to a number of slave servers simultaneously, but only one slave server is discussed here.
