How to create a Modern Document Template in SharePoint Online (Feb 2023)

Microsoft’s new “Modern” SharePoint Document templates appear interesting and promising (but still buggy!), allowing allow you to quickly and easily create templates and attach them to SharePoint libraries which prompt users to provide specific information in the document and then to rename the file before saving it and being able to work on it.
