Steps that fixed my crashing
Switch to DX11 in the menu.
Ensure game is installed on HDD not SD Card
Use the default proton layer.

Cloud Save Fix
1. Go to desktop mode
2. open dolphin navigate to /home/deck/.local/share/steam/steamapps/compatdata/368260/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/ MyDocuments/My Games/Marvel’s Midnight Suns
3. while inside the Marvel folder you will see 2 folders one named Saved_Steam_ and another but with a bunch of numbers after it that is your Steam ID
4. copy the name of the folder that has your steam id and while your in the folder of Marvel’s Midnight Suns right click and open a terminal
5. enter ln -s Saved_Steam_[My Steam-ID] Saved_Steam_
6. Replace the My steam ID part with your steam ID or you can paste the name you copied earlier. It should make a link in the folder
7. now delete the folder Saved_Steam_
8. then rename the link you made to Saved_Steam_
9. it should then change to a folder link that navigates to the correct path of the steam cloud save
