OSPFv3 IPv4 & IPv6 Address Family (New Config Syntax) Introduction Video Tutorial

Hope you enjoy my video tutorial on OSPFv3 Address Family configuration and differences between legacy OSPFv3 configuration and the legacy OSPFv2 for IPv4 configuration. In this video I take a step-by-step approach to leveraging the new OSPFv3 AFI/SAFI and I also show how the new OSPFv3 AFI/SAFI configuration, is NOT compatible with legacy OSPFv2 for IPv4 routers – they will literally not form an adjacency! The reason is due to the fact that the legacy OSPFv2 routers will send their Hellos, DBDs, and LSAs with the AF-bit clear/not set (not what the OSPFv3 router running Address Family support is expecting to see!). The OSPFv3 AF-capable router will simply ignore them and the adjacency will never form – with IPv6, this is NOT an issue and will work just fine with the legacy IPv6 configuration methodology. I also show how 12.4 code does not have support for the new OSPFv3 Address Family configuration. .
