Failed to start OpenSSH server daemon [SOLVED] | RHEL/CentOS | RHEL 8
How to fix SSH service error in RHEL and CentOS.
Default permission for files in ‘/etc/ssh’ is changed.
Command to fix:
# chmod 640 /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ed25519_key
# chmod 640 /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ecdsa_key
# chmod 640 /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key
Reinstall the openssh-server
# yum reinstall openssh-server
Start the sshd service
# service sshd start
