Cognos Connection Create SQL Server Database Connection

In this video, we are going to learn about how to create a SQL Server Database connection to use it in Cognos.

In our tutorial video we used SQL Server 2005 as a Database Server. Steps are same for other database

We know this video is too long for a simple database connection but covered 5 ways to connect SQL Server Database.

We also face an issue while trying to connect SQL Server Database using ODBC. Below is error details

QE-DEF-0285 The logon failed.
QE-DEF-0325 The logon failed for the following reason:
RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-database attach to 1 database(s) in:
testDataSourceConnection

UDA-SQL-0031 Unable to access the “testDataSourceConnection” database. Check that the connection parameters to the database are configured correctly. For example, ensure that the data source connection contains the signon information, such as a password, to connect to the database.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation “attach”.
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application
