The ran another run in with the Warden who found out Nate was lying and wanted his cut, in which Rafe, the man who was in on this, killed the Warden, and during their escape, Sam was shot and Nate had to leave him back at the prison, and for 15 years that memory still haunts him, and back in the present, he continues to try and live a “normal” life and work as a salvage worker.
